Cose della vita is the laconic title of a group exhibition that piques curiosity. On display are selected pieces of jewelry, objects, and drawings by Giampaolo Babetto, the outstanding goldsmith of the Paduan School, which reveal his holistic approach to design, drawing equally on Renaissance art, nature, and the human body. Stefan Kraus, known as the curator of the Kolumba Museum — which he directed until the end of 2025 — has appeared as a photographer in many of his publications. In *Cose della vita*, he combines these with small-format paintings and text fragments to form an associative tapestry of memories of places and things. Katja Krumbeck paints and draws whimsical scenes that, with a dreamlike (un)certainty, evoke the fullness of life, yet are anything but unambiguous. As oil pastels often rendered with exaggerated strokes, they call for a relief-like, almost physical interpretation. A delight for the eye, lived experience, and a quiet sense of humor in dealing with the “things of life” unite the three artists, who collaborated on the gallery’s 123rd exhibition at the invitation of Rosemarie Jäger.
