Jan Wege
1964 Born in Hamburg. 1981-1985 Apprenticeship as dental technician. 1987-1990 Trained as a goldsmith under Thomas Schleede, Hamburg. 1990-1996 Studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Nuremberg, class for jewellery and objects under Prof. Erhard Hößle and Prof. Ulla Mayer, diploma. 1994 Master student. Since 1996 own workshop in Hamburg. 2000-2002 Design consultant for medium-sized jewellery companies in Tunisia on behalf of the German GTZ. 2006/07 Design workshops for the Hanseatic Parliament in Gdansk, PL, together with Thomas Schleede.
