Giampaolo Babetto (*1947) is one of the most influential representatives of author’s jewelry and one of the leading goldsmiths of the School of Padua. Inspired by architecture and the proportions of the Renaissance, he creates exciting spaces from simple geometric shapes that look like small architectures. One of his trademarks is the use of gold. He applies color to the metal as a pure pigment in red, white or blue, and transparent plastic is also used. Harmony and rhythm, music and proportions, color and light – everything comes together here.

Johannes Nagel (*1979) is internationally renowned for his extraordinary ceramic works. He explores the limits of our conception of vessels. Archetypal silhouettes immediately bring vases to mind, but the production process turns tradition on its head: Nagel blindly digs hollow molds into the sand and pours liquid porcelain into them or cuts directly into the block-shaped material. His sculptural objects thus show a ceramic of the present: out of tradition and into the open.
